Forced Labour and Modern Slavery Policy

Effective date: 1 January 2020

BYSKY is committed to conducting its business ethically and with respect for fundamental human rights.

Our Commitment

BYSKY does not tolerate forced labour, compulsory labour, human trafficking, slavery, servitude, child labour, or any other form of exploitation within its business operations.

All work performed for BYSKY must be voluntary. Employees and contractors must be free to leave their employment or contractual relationship in accordance with applicable law and the terms of their agreement.

BYSKY will not knowingly:

  • use or benefit from forced, bonded, indentured or involuntary labour;
  • require workers to surrender passports, identity documents or other personal documents as a condition of employment;
  • charge employees recruitment fees that create conditions of debt bondage;
  • employ persons below the applicable legal minimum working age;
  • engage in or support human trafficking or other forms of modern slavery.

Suppliers and Business Partners

BYSKY expects its suppliers, contractors and other business partners to respect the same principles.

Where BYSKY becomes aware of credible information indicating forced labour, human trafficking, child labour or similar exploitation within its supply chain, BYSKY may request corrective action, reconsider the business relationship, or terminate the relationship where appropriate.

Employment Practices

BYSKY aims to maintain fair and transparent employment practices. Employment terms, remuneration and working arrangements must comply with applicable employment laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where we operate.

Reporting Concerns

Employees, contractors, customers, suppliers and other parties are encouraged to report suspected violations of this policy to BYSKY management.

Reports made in good faith will be treated seriously and, where appropriate, confidentially. BYSKY does not tolerate retaliation against a person who raises a genuine concern in good faith.

Responsibility and Review

BYSKY management is responsible for the implementation of this policy.

The policy will be reviewed periodically and updated where necessary to reflect changes in our operations, applicable legislation and generally accepted standards of responsible business conduct.
